Hey Ya!
Daddy's back with a Cheapie Charlie Special-
I wouldn't consider this post-worthy, but once again,
I'm working on a mammoth personal project and have
let the ol' blog slide again....Why must the innocent suffer???
This so wanted to be a portrait of bobblehead actress
Christina Ricci- currently appearing in chained bondage
at a subway station movie poster near you...The pic I drew
it from was a sweet study - high contrast- with a focus on the eyes,
nose, and bow-lipped mouth....But unfortunately, my sketch
looks NOTHING like the photo I took it from...She looks more
like the love child of Winona Rider and Christina Applegate...
so, not the most successful of attempts-to say the least....
I didn't even capture her 52 inch forehead, ferchrissakes!
what can I say? it's better'n nuthin, i guess.....
be back soon with better representation i hopes....

I think the drawing looks good, If you're posting it- be proud of it, don't sit there and knock it down, that's no fun!
Well done, GB-- likenesses are really tough and i wouldn't be going there anytime soon so i applaud you for trying something so tricky!! BTW, i did think Christina Ricci at first glance!!

I thought McKenna in about 10 years. Seriously, G, you are the man! Don't ever put yourself down, most people would give their right leg to have your mad skills.
I thought Ricci right off the bat (didn't hurt that I read 'Ricci Girl') almost at the same time I saw the pic..I like the inks lines - nice penmanship! Nice to see a new post!
Now I'm intrigued about this massive personal project...!!!
Sorry I couldn't make Mikey Z's 40th...it's been nutzo at work lately...was here late and headed home, exhausted..hope it was a blast!

Hey Justin-the personal project was a ten page scrapbook I just had printed for Mikey Z's 40th birthday...it came out awesome-if I do say so myself, and Z seemed to really enjoy it...I still tasting last night! It was a good time!
I say, doesn't matter if it looks like her or not, it's still a damned-nice drawing onto itself!
ps. I'm also sorry I missed Mikey Z's party...been having some personal crap going on

Hey Glenn, sorry I didn't comment on these before I left on vaca but you know how it goes. Love this Christina Ricci sketch (Please enjoy...); I knew it was her right away. You captured her likeness really well...now if only you'd continued down to the 'girls.' YEAAAAAAAH, BABY!!!!!! And stop putting your stuff down, bro, that's my job! ;P
