Beating Around The Bush

"Americans should be prudent in their use of energy during the course of the next few weeks.
Don't buy gas if you don't need it." —George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., Sept. 1, 2005

This is normally an apolitical blog, so allow me to explain the Bush quote.
About a month ago, on Father's Day- I made a Red Buttons quote which
accompanied a sketch of my Old Man.
Red Buttons was a comedian from the pioneering days of B&W T.V.
I only know him from the comic celebrity roasts my dad would watch during the late 70's. Pop always got a kick out of him.
I turned on Yahoo today and found out Red passed away at the age of 87.
God bless 'em.
Two weeks ago I quoted a Weezer song to accompany one of my KennaSketches.
Right underneath the news of Red Buttons' passing was the news that the lead singer
of Weezer, Rivers Cuomo, was breaking up the band.
We're done." was how it was put.
God bless 'em.
So I'm sitting here and I'm thinking:
"Whomever I quote- gets the FrogDaddy 'VooDoo-That-You-Do-So-Well' Hex!"
So I'm puttin' you & your administration on notice, Dubya...
Your ice cream cone is meltin' fast.
Ribbit!

Crossing my fingers that three times the charm with your quotes!

Nice hair in the KennaSketch (TM) by the way. She looks upset, like it's raining out or something.

OK, be fair - no quotes from Manny or Big Papi.

I try to keep mine apolitical as well.

Except when I get all political.

I like the hair too. And that face looks to me like she's on time out or Daddy said 'no' to something. I like how you capture all moods and don't just throw up a bunch of happy Halmark days sketches. You keep it real, and kick it raw.

if she looks upset, it's only because I
told her to. she's become a natural actress
when a camera's on her....
if this blog ever goes "precious moments" E-
you'll be the first to let me know...
Appreciate the love fellas...
P.S.- I just realized I quoted the Flaming Lips
last week! D'oh!
