It's Not Fully Operational Yet...

This wanted to be a portrait of sadsack actor Paul Giamatti ("Sideways")
but instead ended up looking like a busted pre-D.U.I. Billy Joel circa
1982's "Nylon Curtain"....oh well, still drawing through the drought-
still looking for my mojo...

Actually I think it's dead on, the first thing that popped in my head was an image of this guy. Great Piece!

This is one of the best drawings from you, in attitude, likeness and style.

Hey Glennie, this drawing is freakin' good, dude! I immediately saw Paul Giamatti (and a tiny hint o' BJ as well) but, man, is it dead on. Great job. And it doesn't look labored at all. I love it!

See, when I first looked at it, I saw Chris Elliott. Come on, it's there.

Come to think of it, ever see him and Paul together?

Anyway - I told you exaclty how to get your mojo back. And this proves my point. And I didn't see it in the recent Kenna sketches, but now I do. They all, like this sketch, start out like what you want and then they MORPH IN TO THE GUY ON THE SUBWAY!!!!!

I'm telling you, brother, if you draw him, mojo will come.

Beautiful drawing, Glenn! But I'll agree with you...if I may...it's not 100% Paul G...but he's in there, hangin' with Billy...but I just dig the relaxed feeling to the pencils, the pose, the expressiveness in the eyes. I coulda sworn I'd checked in on yer blog before today and Sunday but didn't see it'til now...hrmmmm...

thanks Jess! i guess it felt like work, when it shoulda felt like fun...
Eric- If I ever see that guy on the train again, I'm gonna gouge his eyes out and put them down his pants so he can see me kick the crap outta him!
Then I'll use his tongue to paint my boat.
Thanks for the "Honesty" Justin,
It's such a lonely word...
